YouTube served this up to me this morning and watching it was trippy AF! Also head-wobble inducing, I can’t help myself when I find myself agreeing with someone speaking Bengali or Hindi 😆 I am #Bengali and didn’t speak English until I was 5, despite being born in the US. We spent 1/2 the year in #Kolkata #India until I was 8 and were immersed in the #NewYorkCity #Indian community when in the States. The #Bangla voice actors seemed pretty true to the Western characters, except for Peter B. Parker, whose exhaustion was ignored in favor of a happy-go-lucky dad. They changed his tired “I have a baby” to a happy “Yes, a very sweet baby!” 🤦🏽♂️ I want to see this in Bengali, to see the different choices they made for acting & emotions. And maybe with the captions on, because I have the vocabulary of a 10 year ...

TIL that #Obsidian has a code inspector just like browsers, so I was able to fix the appearance of some #Todoist #tasks and make it look *exactly* as I wanted to, which filled me with much #joy. Obsidian is truly personalizable – maybe I need to learn how to make plug-ins to extend functionality (#coding has always been so abstract to me that I’ve never been able to follow through, I can do front end dev only because I like seeing changes visually). I had a major breakthrough yesterday, #singing at full volume in front of someone else. Usually I sing alone in the car, pretty damn loudly according to my watch‘s decibel warnings. I’ve long wanted to sing in bands & stuff and I recently realized that #anxiety strangled my voice when I tried – and even affected my normal speaking voice, making it much higher pitched than it should be. So singing at full volume in the car with our 19yo is a big deal 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. #adhd #music #smallwins

They’ve discovered the same thing the Mainstream Media did: negative emotions grip people’s attention harder than positive ones. Hate and fear drives engagement, and engagement drives ad impressions. #Mastodon is not an ad-driven platform.
