#DaftPunk mixed their first two albums on a JVC #boombox like this. All the standard advice to ‘don’t mix on this or that’ and they used a 10 year old boombox with a simple graphic equalizer.

The lesson: Expensive equipment isn’t necessary; mix on something you use and know well.

And don’t wait until you have the ‘right’ equipment. As #ArthurAshe said,

There’s nothing like having the #motivation to do something and then running into repeated unexpected issues that suck the motivation right out of you. This was one of the most adorable things I’ve seen in ages – a youngun discovers that she loves #ProWrestling after having managed to avoid it for years. I can see the avoiding part, I met all of 1 friend in college who enjoyed it (the rest of them were snooty dicks desperate for alternative street cred*). This also hit home as our 14yo watched a little wrestling with me over the past year and found that they liked #IyoSky (and now #Asuka too) because of their style & attitude. (Not coincidentally, they’re into manga & anime so I suspect they’re like crazy anime characters come to life.) They watched both nights of ‘Mania with me after getting invested in Cody finishing his story and buying into all the various storylines. And also thinking that Rhea Ripley is cool as shit. In other news, I spent an hour messing with a new color scheme for my #website last night. This is the 3rd color palette that I’ve used and I suspect it won’t be the last 😆 And I know that there are a LOT of colors, & that I can get rid of some of them. But #minimalism is not natural to me. Pretty sure this all relates to #adhd in some fashion 🤔

Do I really need to make reminders to myself for fun stuff?

One aspect of #adhd that’s irritating af is forgetting to do the things I want to do for fun. I don’t need to keep the not-fun stuff I do in my head so it can stay in a task manager but do I really need to make reminders to myself for things like ‘Read for fun while drinking coffee?’ 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ #ADHDer #AdultADHD #ADHDLife
