If you’re wondering whether a #LowFat or #LowCarb #diet is better, wonder no more with these randomized control trials. I’ve gone hardcore #vegan and hardcore #paleo and only in the latter did weight just melt off within the first month with no exercise at all. It’s not coincidental that the obesity rate in the US shot up after a low fat diet was recommended in 1977. I’m currently researching a #keto diet for both longevity & mental health.

The brain’s frontal lobes, which are involved in ADHD, continue to mature until we reach age 35. In practical terms, this means that people with ADHD can expect some lessening of their symptoms over time. Many will not match the emotional maturity of a 21-year-old until their late 30’s. So while most people graduating from college take time to adjust to adult life, people with ADHD need more time, more family support, and more professional help.

Have you read this? It made me wonder how I managed to adult in the minimal capacity I could in my 20s & on – which consisted, tbh, in drinking too much #alcohol (a source of #dopamine & lowered #anxiety). One of the hardest parts of being an #entrepreneur with #adhd is needing some positive feedback (aka #dopamine) to helo follow through on complex #projects. I can break things down into a zillion steps and chip away, but pouring everything in without getting anything back makes each subsequent step harder & harder. Any frustrations along the way dealing with things out of my control, like vendors & their ‘support’ just pushes me over the edge. #neurodivergent

#DaftPunk mixed their first two albums on a JVC #boombox like this. All the standard advice to ‘don’t mix on this or that’ and they used a 10 year old boombox with a simple graphic equalizer.
