Just spent the last few days switching from #LastPass to #ProtonPass for passwords and #MFA. LastPass’ security f ups are well documented and I don’t trust them. I would’ve switched to Proton Pass sooner had I realized that my paying for #Protonmail included upgraded #password management. The clincher for me: Proton Pass includes #2FA! No more using a separate app, Proton Pass will copy & paste MFA codes too!

As is common with folks who have adhd, I find meditation to be extremely challenging. But this short segment by Andrew Huberman makes me a bit more intrigued than the usual ‘don’t think about anything’ that meditation seems to be. The idea of ‘watching’ my thoughts & feelings go makes more sense than what I’ve ready on how to meditate before (maybe I read just that and glossed over it).

I had a major breakthrough yesterday, #singing at full volume in front of someone else. Usually I sing alone in the car, pretty damn loudly according to my watch‘s decibel warnings. I’ve long wanted to sing in bands & stuff and I recently realized that #anxiety strangled my voice when I tried – and even affected my normal speaking voice, making it much higher pitched than it should be. So singing at full volume in the car with our 19yo is a big deal 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. #adhd #music #smallwins
#DaftPunk mixed their first two albums on a JVC #boombox like this. All the standard advice to ‘don’t mix on this or that’ and they used a 10 year old boombox with a simple graphic equalizer. This is my favorite #quote from #JosephCampbell (and one of my favorite #quotes, period). It made me think much more deeply about #mythology and its’ purpose, as well as its’ relevance to life and humanity (and, of course, myself). Modern life is so distracting; it’s hard to be truly connected with ourselves. Maybe mythology is a solution. People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive. Overall, Proton Pass works more smoothly than Lastpass, which had been feeling clunky over the last year or so (or maybe I noticed more after learning of their bad security practices).
The one thing I wish was that passwords could have tags, or could be added to multiple folders, it’s limited to have a login in just one folder if, for example, I use it for work but I want my wife to also have access in case I’m incapacitated.
