It’s so irritating when you ask a question online and people answer questions you didn’t even ask. I thought about adding ‘If you don’t have an answer to the actual question asked please feel free to not reply’ but I thought that sounded a little douchey. But a little douchiness would have avoided future me’s irritation. #PetPeeves #SocialMedia

This is my favorite #quote from #JosephCampbell (and one of my favorite #quotes, period). It made me think much more deeply about #mythology and its’ purpose, as well as its’ relevance to life and humanity (and, of course, myself). Modern life is so distracting; it’s hard to be truly connected with ourselves. Maybe mythology is a solution. People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive. I find #languages – pronunciations, nuances, #etymology, et al – fascinating; the #Otherwords #PBS series is right up my alley. & it’s #ADHDFriendly, as the videos are super engaging. #TIL that there’s a distinct connection between the #dialects of Boston, Nu Yawk, the Deep South, all centered around the letter R. Also, this video might help you roll your Rs if that skill escapes you. #adhd #rhotics
