I have watched too much #Survivor in my life. It’s a guilty pleasure 🫣. But learning I have #adhd made me realize that I would SUCK at it cuz I can’t play the social game.

But how would Survivor go if ALL contestants were #neurodiverse? What if everyone took things literally, had trouble lying, & couldn’t read social cues?

There’d be less conniving, less of the stuff the show loves to highlight. But I think there’d be more real cooperation & stuff. It could be quite interesting.

#TIL that #WordPress’ #Gutenberg block editor has built-in character & word counting abilities – just click on that little blue ℹ️ in a circle icon and voila. I needed to know this info as I’m testing crossposting here from #WP, & that toot should have posted in the time it took me to write this. Gutenberg has been around for over 4y & I managed to forget this existed (thx #adhd 🧠).

We need more focus on ‘collective intelligence’ vs individual genius. Encouragement of collaboration & cross-pollination. Being around other creatives, in varied disciplines, is meaningful for the growth of one’s own #creativity. I recognize now that I lacked creative peers for most of my life so I was always flying solo, not getting ideas from others nor getting any useful feedback. My friends would sit around and watch movies while I preferred wandering the Metropolitan Museum of Art and seeing what caught my eye. #BrianEno #POSSE Photo credit

zebisko in the house!
Finally found a pic of my all-time favorite #Halloween#costume: a Generic Bad Guy from a #1970s#Bollywood masala film! I was most definitely named ‘Zebisko’ (my favorite bad guy name, ever, from one of my favorite movies ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’), thrifted the green polyester jacket & red 70s tux shirt, and sadly did not grow the #fumanchu (it’s fake hair & spirit gum). I wish I still had that polyester jacket 🙁 #FunFact: Masala films blend multiple genres into one movie: action, romance, comedy, drama, and – of course – musicals; the best were made in the late #70s and early #80s. #Films are usually 3h long so you get your money’s worth and there is literally something for everybody. Pointless sidenote: people wore #bellbottoms in India throughout the 80s, and as late as 1994 I met a guy in the Bombay airport who dressed like Neil Diamond from the 70s ...
