This was one of the most adorable things I’ve seen in ages – a youngun discovers that she loves #ProWrestling after having managed to avoid it for years. I can see the avoiding part, I met all of 1 friend in college who enjoyed it (the rest of them were snooty dicks desperate for alternative street cred*). This also hit home as our 14yo watched a little wrestling with me over the past year and found that they liked #IyoSky (and now #Asuka too) because of their style & attitude. (Not coincidentally, they’re into manga & anime so I suspect they’re like crazy anime characters come to life.) It’s so irritating when you ask a question online and people answer questions you didn’t even ask. I thought about adding ‘If you don’t have an answer to the actual question asked please feel free to not reply’ but I thought that sounded a little douchey. But a little douchiness would have avoided future me’s irritation. #PetPeeves #SocialMedia

ChatGPT writes like cheap SEO from India 🤦🏽‍♂️
One thing that really bugs me about #ChatGPT and #LLMs for #copywriting is they’ve been trained on a web full of crap articles written for #SEO purposes by people in #India who write in a forced style of conversational English. (NB: I’m #IndianAmerican.) Their writing is oddly long with way too many filler phrases and ChatGPT copies this garbage to a T. The second I see any sentence online start with ‘As you know…’ or some other filler garbage I know where it originated. Granted, how #Indians write English is just a variant of the garbage academic writing style in the US, which uses different and snootier filler phrases with even longer sentences. It’s writing meant to impress someone for a grade or a pat on the back, and it took me a couple of decades to write more concisely & to the point. I just wish I could figure ...

#DaftPunk mixed their first two albums on a JVC #boombox like this. All the standard advice to ‘don’t mix on this or that’ and they used a 10 year old boombox with a simple graphic equalizer.
