This was one of the most adorable things I’ve seen in ages – a youngun discovers that she loves #ProWrestling after having managed to avoid it for years. I can see the avoiding part, I met all of 1 friend in college who enjoyed it (the rest of them were snooty dicks desperate for alternative street cred*). This also hit home as our 14yo watched a little wrestling with me over the past year and found that they liked #IyoSky (and now #Asuka too) because of their style & attitude. (Not coincidentally, they’re into manga & anime so I suspect they’re like crazy anime characters come to life.) They watched both nights of ‘Mania with me after getting invested in Cody finishing his story and buying into all the various storylines. And also thinking that Rhea Ripley is cool as shit. One benefit of #thrifting is finding stuff I like that I would never have buying new since I don’t shop for clothes anymore. We found a pair of #LuckyBrand #pants in my size and I now have a favorite brand of pants. They’re straight leg, soft (kinda like brushed twill), stretchy (but don’t look like stretchy plastic), and so light and comfortable that it barely felt that I had pants on. Their only flaw is a lack of a dedicated celphone pocket, but I still want a few pairs for regular use. And since we were in the mall yesterday as our 18yo looked for places to apply for jobs, I noticed that straight leg & boot cut pants are back, and many have celphone pockets. I need to stock up on those for the next 25y before they go out of style again.

I cracked 2 big nuts regarding the #merch #business I’m working on: 1) using one Affinity template file to create multiple products AND their #mockups, and 2) using #Google Sheets, Docs, and Scripts to create copy for every product (title, categories, tags, & descriptions for each type of merch). Ideally I’d be able to pull the data into #WordPress, but that’s a nut to be cracked at a later date, once I’m done pulling a #BarryHorowitz.
