One of the worst things about having #adhd is getting an idea and forgetting it in the few seconds it takes to find my notes app to write it down 🤦🏽‍♂️

Arp Laszlo
Hi, I’m Arp! I got diagnosed with ADHD at 49, and now I'm trying to figure out what's me, what's masking, and just about everything else. I make comics (when imposter syndrome isn't striking) and write about life as a creative Indian-American. I’m self-taught, self-employed, and self-flagellating.

There's nothing like having the #motivation to do something and then running into repeated unexpected issues that suck the motivation right out of you.
There’s nothing like having the #motivation to do something and then running into repeated unexpected issues that suck the motivation right out of you. I wish all of my technology would just fucking work consistently so I can focus on figuring out my processes for productivity instead of troubleshooting something that was working fine 2 days ago 🤬🤬🤬

Sooooooo I stopped taking my #ADHD meds almost 2 weeks ago. I was feeling less & less motivated over time and running more on autopilot; I realized that happened slowly over the last 2 years. Without the #adderall my mind is a lot fuzzier, my #timeBlindness is raging, and my short-term #memory is Fd – but I also feel happier and more present. The only negative is I actually get irritated and/or crabby now, but it’s on me to be aware of my feelings.

Here’s what I did in #Obsidian to make the #Todoist #tasks display better: I indented subtasks and made the meta smaller, inline, and with reduced opacity that increases on hover. Purty and useful 🙂 #ObsidianApp #PKM #TaskManagement

My patience these days for non-native English speakers providing #techsupport is ZERO. They’re not much better than ‘ai’ and getting the right answer is like pulling teeth. I try to give all the details needed to answer my question and they ignore most of it, don’t understand what they do pay attention to, and give the quickest answer they can that is vaguely related to what I asked. It’s frustrating as hell, they’re just hurdles in trying to get anything done.

Copy of a private message with a heart emoji in the bottom left. Hey man you don't know me but just wanted to say I appreciate you posting about your ADHD on here. It was one of the things that helped me decide to get checked and found it I had it too and getting on medication to help with it has just been nothing but awesome for me. So thank you! Have a great day! Btw love the pet bird stories too!
This made my day! I’m glad that posting and sharing about #adhd helped someone out – and they love our birb too 🙂 #AdultADHD #ADHDer #LateDX

coddiwomple (v.) to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination.
#TIL that there’s a word that describes my whole damn life 😆 Except my ‘purposeful manner’ zigged and zagged a lot. No real destination in mind, just ideas of where I thought I wanted to go – or where I thought I should (🤦🏽‍♂️) be going. Some of this is #adhd related (like half-heartedly doing things I had no interest in) and some is not (school teaches you to not listen to yourself because Other People Know Better). But I would like to correct course and have a destination in mind for once. Also: ‘Coddiwomple’ is an incredible word. #Language can be so much fun! #Vocabulary #TIL #WordOfTheDay
