I started watching #ThePrimevals last night and it is an AWESOME BLAST FROM THE PAST! The #stopmotion #animation is exquisite and everything about the production – the shots, the blocking, the color grading – feels like a #film made before 1982. And it’s a straight up B #movie with tacky dialogue and bad acting. I’m looking forward to watching the rest, apparently the story gets batshit crazy.
I cracked 2 big nuts regarding the #merch #business I’m working on: 1) using one Affinity template file to create multiple products AND their #mockups, and 2) using #Google Sheets, Docs, and Scripts to create copy for every product (title, categories, tags, & descriptions for each type of merch). Ideally I’d be able to pull the data into #WordPress, but that’s a nut to be cracked at a later date, once I’m done pulling a #BarryHorowitz.
This thing is ridiculous AND I MUST HAVE IT. I’ve long wanted a hardware sampler and the #TeenageEngineering –133 k.o.2 caught my attention for being feature-packed while being usable with batteries to reduce friction. But a version with #medieval #samples takes the cake! Years back I was really into #AgeOfEmpires and #Civilization so I’m tempted to use this to make a soundtrack for the different parts of my life (like when discovering agriculture or when I want to stab a neighboring principality in the back). Here we go again: the common #adhd morning dilemma of ‘Have I taken my meds or not?’ Thanks to my lovelyshort term #memory, I have to piece together my morning and see where I deviated from The Sequence of Things, because any deviation can make me forget a step. (this need for a specific order of actions makes me wonder how far along the spectrum I might be).
I had a major breakthrough yesterday, #singing at full volume in front of someone else. Usually I sing alone in the car, pretty damn loudly according to my watch‘s decibel warnings. I’ve long wanted to sing in bands & stuff and I recently realized that #anxiety strangled my voice when I tried – and even affected my normal speaking voice, making it much higher pitched than it should be. So singing at full volume in the car with our 19yo is a big deal 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. #adhd #music #smallwins
I could have finished my adhd blog last night (I just had to finish optimizing performance) but … I wasn’t totally thrilled with the colors and their use. Which led to a #rabbithole on UX (user experience), colors in websites & apps, and messing around with a plethora of color palette generators & tools (many of which were new to me and super cool). This prolly led to today’s insomnia as I hyperfocused & missed my melatonin window (at least that’s one theory I have for my shitty sleep).

@ArpComics I get that. I was fortunate that they came to my college around the time American Music / Why Do Birds Sing. And I knew their earlier songs from my older sister. I think they’re a fascinating band. Lots of fun to dance to. Sorry about capitalism.
