I met an old friend from college for the first time in over a decade last weekend, and it was good to see that some things don’t change, despite time & distance. Recently they invited me to join a group chat w/ other college acquaintances, which I declined because why would I willfully chat with people just because we went to the same school for a bit? My friend said that everyone else had given up and accepted their lot in life. Most are neurotypical and some judged me for not studying or being serious enough. This thing is ridiculous AND I MUST HAVE IT. I’ve long wanted a hardware sampler and the #TeenageEngineering –133 k.o.2 caught my attention for being feature-packed while being usable with batteries to reduce friction. But a version with #medieval #samples takes the cake! Here we go again: the common #adhd morning dilemma of ‘Have I taken my meds or not?’ Thanks to my lovelyshort term #memory, I have to piece together my morning and see where I deviated from The Sequence of Things, because any deviation can make me forget a step. (this need for a specific order of actions makes me wonder how far along the spectrum I might be).
Questions regarding #webmention & #Mastodon replies: Does it only sync replies to a toot that has a link in it? In my brief testing today I noticed that of the 3 comments I made to this toot, only the 2 that were direct replies to the OP were synced back to #WordPress. Also: is it possible to alter the incoming webmentions? It would be cool if there were a way to strip hashtags that are not in a sentence (ie the ones at the ends of toots).
It is AMAZING what catching up on #sleep can do for #MentalHealth. 3 days ago I was struggling, this morning I woke up refreshed and ready to jump back on all the horses I’ve ignored for 2w. #Sleep is the first domino of #selfcare that #ADHD-ers need to take care of. Gathering data and using technology has helped me to get back on track. When I looked at my sleep data for the month (see image), I saw how spotty sleep affected how I felt. The 2nd week was so bad that motivation cratered; I had to use last week to get my sleep back on track.
