I could have finished my adhd blog last night (I just had to finish optimizing performance) but … I wasn’t totally thrilled with the colors and their use. Which led to a #rabbithole on UX (user experience), colors in websites & apps, and messing around with a plethora of color palette generators & tools (many of which were new to me and super cool). This prolly led to today’s insomnia as I hyperfocused & missed my melatonin window (at least that’s one theory I have for my shitty sleep).
This is an INCREDIBLE little #film. I love #stopmotion #animation (#Laika > #Pixar, all day every day and twice on Sunday). It’s so real and tangible, with a sense of space, depth, and light that CGI just can’t capture. But I didn’t know how bad-ass #fighting in stop-motion could be. @jwildeboer I’m not familiar with Vercel but that’s definitely who they’re using. I hope that they continue with the open communication as they navigate the growing pains.
@tylerzonia Very much so, if only it weren’t so hard/expensive. Like if everyone could be on small servers and still be able to follow everyone else on other servers.

#VentureCapital made ginormous aggregator sites like #Amazon #Facebook et al possible, allowing them to lose money until they became solvent – but I don’t believe that’s a good thing. Having so much money that an unviable business can be propped up until they corner the market is not beneficial to society and has led to clear & obvious #enshittification.
How different would the internet be now without #VC money helping create monopolies?
