Arp Laszlo

Hi, I’m Arp! I got diagnosed with ADHD at 49, and now I'm trying to figure out what's me, what's masking, and just about everything else. I make comics (when imposter syndrome isn't striking) and write about life as a creative Indian-American. I’m self-taught, self-employed, and self-flagellating.

More Notes & Asides

Finally found a pic of my all-time favorite #Halloween#costume: a Generic Bad Guy from a #1970s#Bollywood masala film! I was most definitely named ‘Zebisko’ (my favorite bad guy name, ever, from one of my favorite movies ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’), thrifted the green polyester jacket & red 70s tux shirt, and sadly did not grow the #fumanchu (it’s fake hair & spirit gum). I wish I still had that polyester jacket 🙁 #FunFact: Masala films blend multiple genres into one movie: action, romance, comedy, drama, and – of course – musicals; the best were made in the late #70s and early #80s. #Films are usually 3h long so you get your money’s worth and there is literally something for everybody. By ‘just a webhook’ I mean not using any abandoned cart plugins and simply sending data from a webhook to a #CRM. Here’s an adorable #kitten for #Caturday so you’re wondering why following the #WP hashtag is showing a #cat. #webhooks #ecommerce #cats #kittens #CaturdayEveryday #Felines #CatsOfMastodon

Sunday morning coffee reading: this caught my eye at the #library yesterday and the description sealed the deal. It’s weird, and funny, and interesting – and again makes me wonder why I can’t draw with imperfections like it. I wish I’d been exposed to a wider world of #comics when I was younger, outside of #Tintin. Superheroes overshadowed everything in the US by the 80s, despite the popularity of Archie and all the Gold Key comics that I enjoyed reading. #Vampires #BD #BandeDessinee #JoannSfar
