Sunday morning coffee reading: this caught my eye at the #library yesterday and the description sealed the deal. It’s weird, and funny, and interesting – and again makes me wonder why I can’t draw with imperfections like it.

I wish I’d been exposed to a wider world of #comics when I was younger, outside of #Tintin. Superheroes overshadowed everything in the US by the 80s, despite the popularity of Archie and all the Gold Key comics that I enjoyed reading.

The brain’s frontal lobes, which are involved in ADHD, continue to mature until we reach age 35. In practical terms, this means that people with ADHD can expect some lessening of their symptoms over time. Many will not match the emotional maturity of a 21-year-old until their late 30’s. So while most people graduating from college take time to adjust to adult life, people with ADHD need more time, more family support, and more professional help.

Have you read this? It made me wonder how I managed to adult in the minimal capacity I could in my 20s & on – which consisted, tbh, in drinking too much #alcohol (a source of #dopamine & lowered #anxiety). But I’m thinking more on how to best guide & support my kids (though without some of the punitive ideas like charging rent, the author is a dinosaur from the 60s). https://www.additudemag.com/grow-up-already-why-it-takes-so-long-to-mature/

Any #AppleiPad users notice an increase in weird little issues in the past few months? I’ve happily used a 2018 iPad Pro for the last 5 years but in the last few months there have been repeated weird issues. The iPad has always been rock solid until now, so I’m wondering if a recent iPadOS update messed things up (either intentionally or unintentionally by Apple) or if it’s just me. It’s definitely not a storage issue as I’ve got over 250gb (out of 512gb) free.
