Sunday morning coffee reading: this caught my eye at the #library yesterday and the description sealed the deal. It’s weird, and funny, and interesting – and again makes me wonder why I can’t draw with imperfections like it.

I wish I’d been exposed to a wider world of #comics when I was younger, outside of #Tintin. Superheroes overshadowed everything in the US by the 80s, despite the popularity of Archie and all the Gold Key comics that I enjoyed reading.

I had a major breakthrough yesterday, #singing at full volume in front of someone else. Usually I sing alone in the car, pretty damn loudly according to my watch‘s decibel warnings. I’ve long wanted to sing in bands & stuff and I recently realized that #anxiety strangled my voice when I tried – and even affected my normal speaking voice, making it much higher pitched than it should be. So singing at full volume in the car with our 19yo is a big deal 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. #adhd #music #smallwins

This is an INCREDIBLE little #film. I love #stopmotion #animation (#Laika > #Pixar, all day every day and twice on Sunday). It’s so real and tangible, with a sense of space, depth, and light that CGI just can’t capture. But I didn’t know how bad-ass #fighting in stop-motion could be. #Merchize’s support tries, sorta. But they suffer from the same issues that plague most #Asian nations who provide support to American customers: The last point I confirmed when working with some #Indian web devs year back. One day I asked them to change the color of text on a page to white, which they proudly did – except the background of the page was white 🤦🏽‍♂️ In any case: Merchize support tries but they use #Facebook or a #chatbot on their website for support. They do not have a ticketing system, and thus they repeatedly ask me questions I answered days before. It’s just half-assed. They try, but they’re going through the motions.

Any #AppleiPad users notice an increase in weird little issues in the past few months? I’ve happily used a 2018 iPad Pro for the last 5 years but in the last few months there have been repeated weird issues. The iPad has always been rock solid until now, so I’m wondering if a recent iPadOS update messed things up (either intentionally or unintentionally by Apple) or if it’s just me. It’s definitely not a storage issue as I’ve got over 250gb (out of 512gb) free.

I remember the day #KurtCobain died so clearly. It was April 5, 1994; I was a senior at #NorthwesternUniversity. I had no classes that day. I woke up, showered, and put on combat boots, brown linen pants, black t shirt & my #SocialDistortion Skelly hat. (Why I recall my outfit I have no idea.) I heard on the radio that they ‘found a body’ in Cobain’s house & didn’t think much of it. I figured somebody had OD’d and maybe it was him – but prolly not because he should be happy with his phenomenal success, no? I walked over to a friends’ apartment. We were hanging out & drinking MGD when the real news came out. We were stunned. I have no recollection what the rest of the day was like, what we talked about or anything.
