godzilla minus one poster

#GodzillaMinusOne lived up to the hype. In the first 10 minutes I thought it might be the best opening of any #Gojira #film but by the end it became The Best Godzilla #Movie Ever.

Most #kaiju #movies focus on the action and other cool stuff but this one made him terrifying on a human level. I got jolted repeatedly when he attacked, it felt so visceral.

The bar has been reset, and I’m dying to see what comes next.

Just realized that I’ve been able to #workout consistently because when I have the internal ‘Do I really want to work out today’ debate, I do it while feeding the animals. By the time they’ve got food & water, I’ve convinced myself to at least do a shorter workout. Today I’m up a bit late but I’m achy af due to a weekend of yard work. Time to catch up on the #Eurovision semis after a ridiculously busy week! Unlike last year I’ve only listened to each song once so the performances are going to be like new songs for me, except for #Croatia (the only melody that stayed in my head).

Today might have been the most productive day I’ve had in a loooooong time. And not one of those *I’m hyperfocused so I work for 12h* days either. I knocked off a bunch of todos, worked 2h+ on one of my 2 big long term projects, upgraded a computer (that didn’t work, troubleshooting will be next weekend), and now it’s time to for some self care (bathing & grooming). #Vyvanse might be magic, or it might have been my new therapist last week. #adhd #AuADHD #AdultADHD

  1. @ArpComics It’s not easy for Toho. Godzilla’s box office was diminishing in the Heisei era. They called their 2004 movie “Final Wars” which they thought there won’t be any new stories anymore.

    It’s until 2014 Hollywood made a reboot, and Hideaki Anno also made his own “Shin Godzilla”, which finally revitalize the whole series. This is only the 2nd Japanese Godzilla after Final Wars.
