godzilla minus one poster

#GodzillaMinusOne lived up to the hype. In the first 10 minutes I thought it might be the best opening of any #Gojira #film but by the end it became The Best Godzilla #Movie Ever.

Most #kaiju #movies focus on the action and other cool stuff but this one made him terrifying on a human level. I got jolted repeatedly when he attacked, it felt so visceral.

The bar has been reset, and I’m dying to see what comes next.

#DaftPunk mixed their first two albums on a JVC #boombox like this. All the standard advice to ‘don’t mix on this or that’ and they used a 10 year old boombox with a simple graphic equalizer.   1. @ArpComics It’s not easy for Toho. Godzilla’s box office was diminishing in the Heisei era. They called their 2004 movie “Final Wars” which they thought there won’t be any new stories anymore.

    It’s until 2014 Hollywood made a reboot, and Hideaki Anno also made his own “Shin Godzilla”, which finally revitalize the whole series. This is only the 2nd Japanese Godzilla after Final Wars.
