Just shared this with my kids. It is good to know how long political things take when it seems like nothing is happening.

It took Biden & his team 6 months to get through Mike Johnson’s skull. Politics & diplomacy are delicate processes and things are rarely as simple as we wish. This was simple vs how complex & multifaceted the situation with Israel, Iran, et al is.

This is also why experience matters. Young pols might talk the talk but getting things done is a completely different ballgame.

ChatGPT writes like cheap SEO from India 🤦🏽‍♂️
One thing that really bugs me about #ChatGPT and #LLMs for #copywriting is they’ve been trained on a web full of crap articles written for #SEO purposes by people in #India who write in a forced style of conversational English. (NB: I’m #IndianAmerican.) Their writing is oddly long with way too many filler phrases and ChatGPT copies this garbage to a T. The second I see any sentence online start with ‘As you know…’ or some other filler garbage I know where it originated. Granted, how #Indians write English is just a variant of the garbage academic writing style in the US, which uses different and snootier filler phrases with even longer sentences. It’s writing meant to impress someone for a grade or a pat on the back, and it took me a couple of decades to write more concisely & to the point. I just wish I could figure ...

I remember the day #KurtCobain died so clearly. It was April 5, 1994; I was a senior at #NorthwesternUniversity. I had no classes that day. I woke up, showered, and put on combat boots, brown linen pants, black t shirt & my #SocialDistortion Skelly hat. (Why I recall my outfit I have no idea.) I heard on the radio that they ‘found a body’ in Cobain’s house & didn’t think much of it. I figured somebody had OD’d and maybe it was him – but prolly not because he should be happy with his phenomenal success, no? I walked over to a friends’ apartment. We were hanging out & drinking MGD when the real news came out. We were stunned. I have no recollection what the rest of the day was like, what we talked about or anything. I cracked 2 big nuts regarding the #merch #business I’m working on: 1) using one Affinity template file to create multiple products AND their #mockups, and 2) using #Google Sheets, Docs, and Scripts to create copy for every product (title, categories, tags, & descriptions for each type of merch). Ideally I’d be able to pull the data into #WordPress, but that’s a nut to be cracked at a later date, once I’m done pulling a #BarryHorowitz.

O M G this looks emotional and compelling. The first movie blew my mind so much that I didn’t even notice that #MilesMorales did not have his tragedy yet. Not only does the #animation look gorgeous but now the whole chased by the League of Spider-people (I just made that up AND said it in Lucas Lee’s voice) thing makes more sense. Looks like this one will live up to the first #movie (which I saw 3x in the theatre) and I MUST see it in #IMAX again. Interestingly, YouTube served up the #Indian #trailer for me first and there are some HUGE differences compared to the US version. They focused completely on drama, with a couple of laughs thrown in. No mention of The Spot. And tied it into the live action movies to clue newcomers in. They know what sells in #Bollywood! If you’re a creator with #adhd and have a #website and struggle with what to focus on, this is a super helpful video on how to handle your wide-ranging #interests & passions. The big takeaway for me is simply not putting passions that are not meant to be income-producing in the site navigation.
